Northumberland Adventure Centre at Deneholme & The Bunkhouse
We offer high-quality outdoor activity residentials, fully catered or self catering, at Deneholme and/or the Allendale Bunkhouse for groups of 12 to 78 guests, from the age of 7 (year 3 students) to adult groups.

Adventure in Northumberland
Catered Adventure Residentials
Our 2, 3 or 4 night residentials with a full activity program and catered from start to finish can even include pick up and drop off from your school or base – a complete package that takes care of every aspect of your residential.
We tailor the program to suit either the younger year groups, year 3-6 (age 7-11), or older youth and school groups, year 7+ (aged 12+) teenagers.
Northumberland Adventure Centre with its two venues, Deneholme (main base and adventure head quarters) and the Allendale Bunkhouse (secondary base and for additional accommodation for large groups) can cater for group sizes of 10-70 young people plus accompanying staff. We are fully accredited with our AALA license, Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and Adventure Mark certified. Our insurance covers our centres as well as all activities and journeys made to off-site locations.
The Allen Valleys and Northumberland offer some of the finest and most scenic spots for ghyll scrambling & waterfall jumping, mine exploration, mountain biking, fell walking & teaching navigational skills, canoeing, improvised raft building, rock climbing, weaseling and abseiling. Onsite we offer bush craft and survival training, archery, construction tasks, a tree platform abseil and team-building and problem solving tasks. Evening activities include bonfires, nightwalks, search and rescue scenarios and the all-round favourite: the man hunt!
Catering for residentials includes a continental and cooked breakfast, super packed lunches and a two course home cooked evening meal.

Teambuilding Activities and Workshops
Deneholme offers an ideal venue for corporate team events of 10 to 50 delegates with its large seminar room, beautiful dining room, relaxing sunroom overlooking the wooded dene and gardens as well as a break-out room in the library where smaller teams can work or refreshments are being served. We can offer fast Wi-Fi as well as conference stationery with a projector and screen for our corporate groups.
You can choose to use the venue only, with us providing home-cooked lunches, treats and refreshments throughout your stay or you can book in activities to make your team event all the more exciting and to create an enthusiastic team spirit amongst your group focusing on positive communication, motivation, exploring new leadership styles and skills and creating shared memories.
Accommodation for your corporate team can be at Deneholme and in addition at the Allendale Bunkhouse and/or the Dale Manor.
